A well equipped DYI can do it. But you will have to get a alignment
when your done. You will need a spring/strut compressor. Then
you have to knock the lower control arm off the strut . If the struts
have never been removed, this can be fun. If the springs are not up to
snuff, you can buy combo replacement spring/strut units now.
Just bolt them in. You might as well drill out the strut tower mounts
while your at it.
