Grey Beard

Every couple of days engine fails to start. No spark from either
electronic coil. Blamed the $200 Ignition Control Module, as car will
start if module is unplugged for 10 minutes, then plugged back in. Module
replacement did not repair the problem. Still appears to be losing power
to module, or out of module. Oil ok! In Park OK! What else will do
this?

Don't forget the cheap things in that circuit like the crank
and cam position sensors. Since it appears to be
intermittent (biggest four letter word in the dictionary),
it may also be a wire harness problem. The wiggle test at
every connection while connected to an anolog meter or test
light may be in order. If you do this, be sure to
disconnect the harness from the PCM to prevent any problems
there. Unplugging and reconnecting may be a tip on where
the problem is located.

Try unplugging & plugging back in the Crank Position Sensor ; if it
starts then, it's probably a corroded connection. Clean connectors (or
replace sensor) and coat mating contacts with silicone dielectric
tune-up grease prior to reconnection.
