I have a couple of items from a Ford truck for sale:

I have a very heavy-duty bumper for F-series trucks. It's not pretty,
and it doesn't have a step built in - but the chrome step bumpers at the
salvage yards are going for at least $100 - so make me an offer.

I also have a Shelton Class V hitch - the heaviest one you can bolt to
the frame of your truck. Check out the details for this hitch - I got a
different truck and can't use this hitch. Hitch has a little light
surface rust - doesn't effect use or safety. Bolts and nuts are rusty -
but you can get them anywhere - if I had to do it again, I would go with
stainless steel.

for pete's sake - who reads that crap anyway? If there is something on
the charter about ads, there should also be something about off-topic
responses to serious questions. Why don't you police that crap instead?

What do you think would happen if everyone used usenet for these ads? The
ads would overwhelm the groups.

Plus, you are already going to local groups. Do you think someone is going
to drive across the country to get hitched up in North Carolina?

So why waste my time with this charter crap? I doubt that ads would
clog up the groups - the off-topic garbage seems to be doing a good job

So you can know the rules of the newsgroup.

Then they could go to the for sale groups. The vast majority of people in
this newsgroup (alt.autos.ford) don't want a ford bumper or don't live close
enough to drive and get yours.

If I have a question about a pet getting sick, I would go to a newsgroup for
pets, not post it here, just in case someone who cares about pets doesn't
read the pet newsgroups.
