It sounds like it is missing a shift, and a scan tool will probably pick up
an error code relating to which gear is missing. Although it is technically
possible for the module to cause the problem, it is more likely an internal
trans concern. There is a point at which one could say "try this, i've seen
this before" but it sounds like in this case you need to go to a shop for
diagnosis.
