1999 ford explorer tranny - Ford Forums

my 99 explorer trans stopped working a few weeks ago I changed fluid and
filter>and it worked fine for about another week
Then last night we got in it and it wont go into any gear I checked the
fluid and it looks just like it did before I changed it (dark gray and
thick) I pulled the hose of the transmission cooler and started the vehicle
and nothing came out. 1999 ford explorer 4.0 120000 miles
any help would be great

Dark gray and thick? Hmmm. Maybe coolant in the transmission fluid?
A leak in the transmission cooler?
