4.0 sohc has a terrible whine when it starts up after being shut off
only a short time or if it is warmed up and you slow to an idle, does
seem to go away or maybe just hard to hear when you get up around 2000
rpms somewhere this subject is covered but danged if it can be found
by me :x
a couple of things that can be added,
this happens while stopped as well as low speeds
from under the hood, you can feel and actually see the vibrations of
the air filter housing and all the air flow tube - is that the right
name- all the way to where it connects on top of the engine
the air filter was just changed and did not change a thing noise wise
