midas Guest Posts: n/a	Air Filter Intake Vehicle is a '98 V6 SOHC. Want to covert the stock air box to a universal air filter(K&N). The mass air flow sensor has a 3 inch opening. Have seen samples online and they used a 3 inch filter attatched to the sensor. Is there such a way; Can this be done? Or have to use an actual aftermarket air flow kit?

ob1 Guest Posts: n/a	Re: Air Filter Intake if you go to an oil based filter the MAF will get coated and reduce the air/fuel mix. making the engine run lean less horse power. if you more power clean the MAF with carb cleaner
