I had one of these back in 69. Great car. I remember
it didn't make all the noise the new ones with the same
engine make. Probably a ford idea with the mufflers.
Did you have to change the hood to fit that carb?

With that setup you wouldn't need to, although it would be really close. I
have a 1" spacer under my Edel carb and a 3" K&N filter. To make it fit I
had to use a 1" drop air filter base.
