Chip Foose built this for a lady on the show Overhaulin'. I was telling
my wife that she would not appreciate the car when we watched the
program....then a few month later she sells it. Go figure.

Wish I had the 50k. that is one sweet ride.

The EXACT same thing happened with the 1970 Sportsroof Mustang he did at the
SEMA show. A couple months later it was for sale on EBay also.

As time goes on I've become more and more suspect of the overhauln show.

The last episode I saw was the biggest beater or something like that.
They have no concept of a beater. What they picked was some unfinished
modification project car from texas. Nothing wrong with it, just that the
mods hadn't been finished.

The wheels on that Foosemobile are absolutely horrid. Personally, I'd
prefer either of the fastbacks behind the Foosemobile.

Reality shows... gotta love 'em.....

I' in the middle of a major home reno.... think Mike Holmes or the cutesy
guy with the fag tag on his bottom lip will come and help me? I have several
friends with old Mopars that could use more money than they have to
spare.... will Foose and his eye candy ever come to jerk their chains? I
think there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff that we will never see....
but if we insist on watching it, the sponsors will insist on sponsoring it.

I don't think they go more than 5 blocks from whatever CA shop they are
using. Ever notice how they don't even come to places like chicago?
How when a car has the most mild of surface rust they proclaim what poor
condition it is in?

I like to read old car publications from the UK. They know what real rust
is. They deal in detail with actual problems, they show the rust damage.
The cars featured are often drivers. I mean real drivers that go out rain
or shine.

I agree, but there are only so many hours to do a show like that I guess and
if they are at all normal, NO ONE really WANTS to tackle a real nasty
project.
I imagine that stealing one a couple of thousand miles away would be a LOT
more complicated.

I saw them do one truck where they chopped the top on it and slammed it.
If they did that to one of my rigs shots would be fired.

Maybe that's how the gal felt when they did her Mustang, Could be she liked
it the way it was.
