Have you got 3 trillion barrels of your own oil? Canada does.
So why does it continue to suffer under high gasoline prices?
Same reason every other country that does, does; The government.
Our country is 3000 miles across and most people drive at least
25,000km per year. Of course, we could always ride trains like
Europeans, or buses, but I'd rather hang myself. My car was being
worked on at Ford, and I decided to take a bus-subway home, just out
of curiosity's sake. The trip was 14km and entailed riding two buses
and one subway. It took almost an hour, in light traffic. Time by
car? 12 minutes.
