I'm selling my '87 GT and thought I'd get it smogged in advance. I'm in
California. I go to the same test only station for all the cars I've had to
smog, including my '87 GT. The guy looks at the BBK headers and said, "I
can't find a C.A.R.B. # so I can't pass you.". I told him, "You guys passed
me last time.". Well, I'm going back to the shop tomorrow with the exemption
orders I found on the internet. Turns out All BBK Shorty Headers are smog
exempt for my car. It's in his full right to not pass it with something he's
unsure of but at least he could and should have access to such information
so he could resolve the matter then and there, without making me have to
pick up my car again and bring it to his shop. Oh, well. Just venting.The
car's being displayed at the California Car Corral.
