Kool. In the meantime, maybe a certain someone gets the hint that
asking me about website ssstuff is a waste of time. You feel up for a
disssertation on quench, Weisssenator?

Received. I would love to participate in this discussion.
I don't understand the concept of quench. I don't know what any numeric
values around it might be, like average, good or bad, related to
specific applications. I don't understand the dynamics of this
mysterious thing is with cam duration, lift, head design and CC design,
CR, etc. I'm sure this admission points to other things I don't know
about it. If you guys wanna discuss it, I'm all ears...

Thanks Stan. These are fairly "thick" articles, so I will read them
several times each. But they both shed light on concepts that were
'nebulous' to me.
I have so much to learn about so many things

Re: Now is Quech, Squish and Swirl Was Re: Background watermark
The 2 stroke people have been into this for along time. They get into
squish ratio, squish area, squish volume, max. squish velocity in m/s
and degrees BTDC for Max. Velocity.

Yeah, that makes sense, with the design of a 2T engine. The flat head
and the air-pump crank both must be the subject of a lot of discussion.
People have told me to do this and that to the head of my little
commuter bike, but it runs very well, so I'm leaving it alone...
