Re: Carburetor ID

Welcome to the group. Shall we call you Max?
You obviously know your FE's and have been around them a while.
You may want to cut Wound Up some slack, He is probably the one most
responsible for keep our group going when I'm sure many were fed up and
ready to bail.
He made a mistake and admitted he was wrong.
Having said that you have "the attitude" and that is fine but we don't need
to rub shit in peoples faces. I'm sure you've done thing that your none to
proud of so let's move forward on a positive note. StuK

Sorry, I see you guys have a little club here and naturally you will
stick up for each other, but John needs some serious help figuring out
his car and Wound Up was just going in the totally wrong direction. I
didn't see anyone else helping. As for me, I've never done anything
wrong, and I have three divorces to prove it.

Guity as charged, like half the world. I'm currently pondering the hair
of the dog. What a ridiculous night. Shot girls are evil temptresses.
At least we called a cab. I'm just now very afraid to look at the
receipts in my wallet.

I screwed up. I believe I mixed the numbers up in my head, and thought
"312". Sounds funny to someone having had their hands in each, but I
-was- just one number off.

As for "who are you", it wasn't an indictment, you just remind me a
leetle bit too much of someone else I've known.

Nice attitude, it's always appreciated around here!! I'm the kind of
person who respects a good chop busting. So welcome, apparent new guy!!
You've found that edge of the map where the serpents live.

No prob Max,

You're cool,

I noticed the gaff and was going to mention it but figured it might go under
the radar, guess I should have known it wouldn't around here!!!
Not so much defending anyone just trying to keep the "drama" down as we've
had more than our share in the not too distant past.
If we want drama there's always American Hot Rod ;^)

The carb is most definitely a swap IMO but your expertise on the block and
head parts is most appreciated. I'm trying to recall if there was a hidden
casting code somewhere on a 390 but it may only be on the early blocks. The
problem with those blocks is they had 352 cast on all of them too! Then you
needed to do the straw down the plug hole trick.
