Detroit Locker

Is it normal when turning a corner, not a curve, a Detroit Locker rearend
makes "racheting" sounds?

Yeah, There's still one wheel trying to turn faster than the other, no
matter how slight the curve.

It's not trying to turn faster, it IS turning faster:)
