Here are a few shots of FeWedge's alloy Cobra with alloy stroker
Tunnel Port engine. I'm sure he will be glad to answer questions in
this thread. The paint will be done after the summer, giving him enough

David and Tom certainly know what they are doing when it comes to those
Aluminum KMP's....Does this one have the newer stainless steel chassis
option???

No, the big option was the Griling brakes and orginal suspension.

What a beast. So nice to see that aluminum (for Stu, FastEd and MM, that's
al-u-min-i-um = ).
It's gorgeous. Abso-freakin-lutely gorgeous. And I am duly impressed with
the obvious attention to detail, including the jack points, instrument
cluster and reversed 4sp. shifter. Man, what a sweet ****ing ride!

Are those drag radials? I'd expect the need for an exotic tire choice with
a power to weight ratio at what, 1hp:3lb?

Do you have two throttle return springs? With all that juice (in my case,
only about half that juice), I'd put a larger one over a smaller one... just
a thought...

So you went with the original suspension, mine will be more of a track
car (similar to Steve Sunshine's old 4027), so I'll be going with the
Wilwoods. Dave and I have already spoken at great length about this over
the past year........My "Kirkham in a box" will be my stress relief from
the day to day "grind"(so to speak)........

As for the dent, call David and ask him to teach you how to "float it
out" from behind.....Most Kirkham owners could also have a sideline job
of paintless dent removal after owning one for a year or more (get used
to the dents and dings now, along with the idiots who will come up to
your unpainted car and still rap their knuckles on it and ask if it's
aluminum)........Once again, a very sweet car.........Enjoy.....

Mine will see some track time also. I am not real happy with the
handling right now. I think the big issue is the spring rates they are
using. 450 fronts and 600 rear. Tom suggested switching front to rear.
I'll give it a try, but I think I will look for some different springs.
Good luck putting it together. I think you will find the wiring
challenging. The wiring diagram on there site has several errors
which leeds to many hours of fun.

They are Sports Car Specials. They seem to do a fairly good job of
keeping it on the road. I did get on it pretty hard couple weeks ago
(7300) shifting into 3rd and it stayed planted.
