No, a "day" is the time it takes the earth to rotate on it's axis....
A "month" is the time it takes the moon to make one revolution around
the earth.

Christmas and Easter have been that way pretty much as well. It's for
the kids (although it does tend to take away from the true meaning...
but what the heck... schools have already begun deleting Christian
holidays in favor of either generic names (like Spring Break) or
recognition of holidays like Ramadan, and Quanzu or whatever.
