I have a Motorcraft Holly 4 bbl carburetor; data plate reads D2 HF DA
and C8A26. No idea what engine it came from. Can anyone identify the
model, CFM, etc?

Without looking at the parts catalogue, I can tell you it is a heavy truck
application carb. 3rd digit 'H' in the prefix is the tip-off.

AFAIK, those carbs make nice doorstops, that's about it.

Thanks! It's monster of a carb, so I figured a truck 460. This one
would hold a bank vault door open.

Probably for a 370 or 429 heavy truck motor, maybe even a 361 or 391 FT.
Does it have a big governor thingy on the side of it?

sure sounds like a truck 600 cfm with all the manual choke and governer
stuff on it. good for nothing but a truck. (and I take em off and use
reg holleys and msd rev limiters) KB
