Or, just try doing a Google search for the address.

Depends on what changed recently. Like if it was listed for sale or the
zoning changed. Did you have the city and state in the search field?

Ran into this by accident couple years back. I was looking at houses in San
Diego and I found all kinds of info by doing a Google search. Guess it also
depends on how computerized your local town government is. In Tucson the
assessor's office has all records on line. Take a look:
http://www.asr.co.pima.az.us/apiq/as...estTimeout=120
and here is the home page, lots of help here: http://www.asr.co.pima.az.us/
There is also a lot of information available thru the MLS service the
realtors use.

Just a note for any former military types regarding those" public
records". Many were told to take their DD Form 214 to their Hall of
records/County Recorder etc and have them placed on file. It has
since been learned that since they are public records, anyone can go
and request a copy. The DD Fm 214 contains so much information (name,
SSAN, place of birth/home of record, etc, that it has led to identify
theft in a large number of cases. You should check your local
regulations on this to see that such records are safeguarded. If not,
you should see about having the rules changed or removing your record.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm getting a DD-214 very soon. I'll have to check
on the local regulations before getting it put on file.

Even if you don't put yours on file because your local community has
nothing in place to protect you, get with local Vet groups and push
for the needed changes. Our Armed Forces put their lives on the line
for the peoples' continued freedoms. No reason why some scumbag should
victimize them.....

Also, there are several bills making it's their way through Congress
in support of our people in uniform. Whether anyone agrees with the
war or not, they should support those bills which support the troops.
Check with your local Veterans Service Officer, or so a check online.
