Big Al

Pat has a friend that bought a half finished Torino race car. It's back
halfed, tubbed and weighs 3580 with driver. Has stock front suspension. Pat
put a Scat 557 kit in a stock 4V block with a Snider cam and Blue Thunder
heads with Ford exhaust ports. This weekend was it's debut. It ran 10.19 @
130 last night and it's not tuned yet. Is that horsepower or what? Friday
they got 10.50 out of it but it was shutting off out of the gate. They added
extensions to the rear jets and it woke up. 60' times were 1.50, not bad for
a lead sled:)

What year Torino? That running with a slushbox or stick? Pretty nice times
for a boat.

Car is a 70 or 71, I can't tell them apart:) It's automatic, has a flat
intake like

but I don't know who made it.

Carb is a Berry Grant Dominator style. Can't tell you what the cam is but I
know it's a Schneider. http://www.schneidercams.com/

No idea what the rear gears are but I would guess they are 4.30 or 4.56. Car
pulls the front end way up. Another friend of mine has a 69 Roadrunner with
a bored and stroked 440 in it. I thought it was fast running 10.60's, but
this Torino really scoots:)
