Okay, but first, look your e-mails.

I'll start a new post. If it's not there tomorrow, it'll be later in the
week. I'm leaving for Cincinnati tomorrow.

Actually in the case of the aforementioned poster, he actually took my
advice to heart and thanked me for the "reality check". He has since lowered
his expectations and plans a much more realistic build of his 73 460 so
that's somewhat gratifying.

Excellent. A mentor is very valuable. I have several, and I am one for
several people. It makes a person feel good.

How rare... someone with manners and a modicum of humility...

He has since lowered

It is invaluable. As a person realizing that experience is very often
far, far more important than smarts, I wish I still had someone willing
to be my mentor. Circumstances changed around us, and it is no more.

As a kid, I had to figure a lot of stuff out on my own, because my
father was divorced from my mom, and a very angry, very patient ass. My
mother and brother just weren't around much, literally or figuratively.
As a result, I made some bad decisions out of ignorance, and still
continue to a make a few, because there are still holes. Also as a
result, I don't want to have children, because of what I fear I would
inflict on them.

Way off-topic now, sorry
