There are some FE's up there! One is an original 428 Cobra Torino, the other
is a transplant in a Mustang. The Torino ran 12.22 yesterday. It's an
original 4 speed car, now a C6. The owner told me it's getting to valuable
to race. He's going to put it back to stock and find something else to stuff
the driveline in.

Might as well keep talking to myself:)

Pat's 460 powered Camaro ran 9.17 right off the trailer yesterday. In the
first round of the Gambler he dialed it at 9.11 because the temperature was
going down. It ran 9.07! Fastest two runs for this set up. Too fast to stay
in:(

That's great, but too bad =). You were doing 9.20s - 9.30s, if I recall
correctly. Then, you get a *full tenth* while already in the low 9's,
wow! Sounds like the dense air charge gave it a good extra snort. The
8's... they are so near...

Glad you're out burning it up. I've been stuck in the house for a week
with the flu.

This set up with A-460 heads went 8.96 in Tucson. So far today Pat got in
one more time run. Another 9.17. The 67 went three rounds then caught a red
light. One of our friends has a 351 powered rail and he and two other cars
are all that's left in High Roller.

Except for the red light, sounds like a great day =) I hope they pull
it out!

I myself have never gone down the strip, but my buddies did at
Englishtown in the late 80s/early 90s, when every greaseball with a GN
thought he was John Force. My Mustang has a pinion angle issue (5 spd),
and I've been lazy or busy. I'm not wanting to do the job to shim it
using hand tools. Also, I don't want to get smoked by a Neon with this
parts store motor... waiting for The Real Deal to start playing...
