When i first bought my 04 Ranger 4.0 4x4 auto, i was getting 25 mpg on
the freeway, now at 12,000 mi i am only getting 18 mpg on the freeway. I
am driving it the same way as when i got it.
Any ideas?

Winter blend fuel? I would expect closer to 18 than 25 from that truck.

An error in calculation? 25mpg form the 4L 4x4 would be incredible.

I know, but i swear thats what i was getting on the freeway, 25mpg. I
also have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 that will get up to 21mpg on the
freeway, and 300HP to.

I know what the problem is...
either you don't know how to do arithmethic,
or your odometer is reading out in kilometers.
