I have a 2000 Ford Excursion. In older vehicles, doors had a plunger
switch to sense an open door. I cannot find any switch on the door or
frame. Where is the switch/sensor for an open door; can it be bypassed
or can the "door open" alarm be turned off?

It's built into the latch.

I also had this problem with my 2000 F-150 try spraying WD40 into the latch
on the door then opening and closing the door ten times. Repeat the process
4 or 5 times. This should solve your problem.

I'm new to the group and was just reading some posts.I have the same
problem with my doors on my 98 Ranger. Thanks for the tip Justin I'm
going to give it a try.
