Exclamation 2005 ford mondeo 130tdci starting problems

Hi ,
I recently bought a 2005 mondeo 130tdci 2l,Its a great car except for this really annoying problem which is sometimes its really hard to start it seems to lack uumph, its like you can get it to start barely its sounds terrible then you give it some revs and it kicks into life.I had it serviced a few weeks ago and i have had the battery tested that was okay.Maybe glow plugs or starter motor?Any ideas would be great,Thanks

Re: 2005 ford mondeo 130tdci starting problems

So many things could be causing this, the starter isn't one of them though. Top of the list is the cam position sensor followed by the glow plugs (if it's purely starting and not also a running concern) then possible fuel problems ie worn/damaged injectors.
