Hi !

My fathers got a 2.5L Duratec 1995 Mondeo, 100k miles (Europeian version).

Recently the engine hesitates when it's cold. Seems like misfire or a bad fuel mix (rich ??). When the engine gets running temperature, it resumes to normal.

Could anybody point to where I should start debugging? Or is this a common problem?

I don't have a OBDII tool applicable to ford so I can't give any more details. (Got only for VAG). Does is exist a OBDII tool for ford to the aftermarket? (Like Ross-Tech's VAG-COM for VAG?)

Might just be a sticking or non operating automatic choke - but thats just a starting point due to only being at cold.

hi ours does the same thing when cold but mainly only when going 60 ks in third , any way its only the other halves car , it keeps her out of the xr lol
