confused 95 contour door lock problem

My electric door lock on the driver's side will not remain in the unlocked position. When I try to get into the car, I've got to use the key to unlock the door, and keep the key turned to the unlock position while I open the door. As soon as I've opened the door and remove the key, the electric door lock resets automatically to the lock position. This is not a major problem, just an irritant that I haven't been able to correct. Any ideas, or suggestions about what might need to be cleaned, adjusted, or fixed?

Any suggestions about how to check it out and correct the problem? Seems like it should be a simple correction, like maybe some minor corrosion on one of the electrical contacts, or something similar.
