Started some unusual synptoms that I've never experienced before. My 95 contour 4 cyl engine randomly stumbles while crusing at about 60 mph. Only seems to occur once or twice and then acts normally again. No noticeable loss of forward speed, motion, or hesitation. At lower stop and go traffic speed, the engine has started to run hotter than RM, sometimes almost over to the hot end of the scale, especially during the hot days of summer. Soon as I get up to constant speed though, temp comes back down. I can't say that I've ever noticed the fan come on, but then I've not looked for it to come on.

I've bought this car new, and it has about 36000 miles on it.

Anyone have any suggestions about what might be going bad, and I should check our, or replace?
