I have a 1996 Ford Contour GL with a 2.0L L4 PFI 16V DOHC Zetec engine. The problem is the timing belt broke. Question, is it a interference or a non-interference engine? Also looking for a Cam Alignment tool and a Crankshaft TDC Timing Pin no one in this small town has them.

I have a 1997 Zetec Contour that I just rebuilt. use a socket to rotate the front crank pulley and align it on the timing mark on the oil pan. I found that a wood paint stick, yes the ones that the stores give you, is the perfect fit to hold the cams for timing alignment. Hope this helps.
