i gotta 1996 mercury mystique. i kno this is a for forum, but a mystique is the same shit as a contour, so plz help me out here. the rpm's on my car goes up and down from about 750 rpms to over 1000. up and down, up and down. whether im in park, neutral, or drive. and sometimes, the car will stall on me, bad! ill be drivin, and all of a sudden, the car wont be able to pass 20 something mph. even if i floor the gas pedal, and doing that, it wont go over 3000 rpm's. it'll turn off, but once in a blue. when it starts acting up, i just park, turn off the ignition and wait like 5, 10 mins to start it again, and itll start perfect. a few mins., or hours later, whenever it feels like acting up again, it will do the same thing over again. can some1 help me out? also, if u kno wut it can be, can you tell me how much approx. it will cost if you kno? im low on cash always, and if its too much, the cars gonna have to stay like that until its a total loss, and then ill just junk it and get 100$ for it, cuz i wont b able to do anything else, unless some1 would like to make a donation!
