i just replaced the driver side strut and reassembled every thing and now have a bunch of play that i never noticed before, it could have been there and just hadn't noticed as my spring was broke and never grabbed the wheel and moved it. Ive come to the conclusion that my wheel bearing is done, no my ? is, is/are the bearings needed to be pressed in or can i tap them in?

The bearings are pressed in. You need to remove the whole knuckle and set it in a press to remove and install the bearing.

Defiantly has to be pressed in I have done this a thousand times it seems...Contours eat bearings it seems...did the drivers side a month ago and now the passenger side has gone. Trick is buy a good quality bearing vs a cheaper discounted one as they will last a bit longer
