I wonder if anyone can please help - occasionally when I use the brakes on my Ford Mondeo Ghia (2000/2001), the brake pedal is very hard and it seems like there's no brakes to stop. If 'hit a couple of times after this, the pedal becomes normal. When the brakes come back to normal the ABS light comes on and stays on till the engine is switched off. If the engine is switched back on the ABS light goes off.

I have already replaced the vacuum servo unit vacuum hose but this doesnt seem to have solved the problem.

I'd get a diagnostic run on the ABS module, there must surely be a code in there.

can anybody help p reg mondy wiper/washers have packed up motors still operating had tubes off still no joy they were working fine then nothing
