CSVTCHICK Registered User Join Date: Oct 2005 Posts: 1	Canadian SVT lover with problems Hello Everybody, I recently blew the engine in my 98 Contour SVT and am having a hell of s time fixing it. I've been quoted $7000.00 CAD to put a FQR 2.5L back into it. Ia m currently seeking a 3.0L, this seems to be my best option all around. I have visited a couple of sites to purchase this engine and am still researching my best options. I've heard bad things about shoshop.com and they have the 3.0L conversion kit for $2900.00 USD. Arizona Dyno Chip has the 3.0L short block for $1800.00 USD which needs one of their chips to work. I am confused and frustrated. My mechanic will take care of this for me and I trust him but if I had of let this out of my hands 3 weeks ago I would already be in the hole for $7 G's. Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.
