It was a local garage who said it registered the EGR Valve, he said he didn't remeber what code that was and he was very busy so didn't have time to look again!
Haven't tried without the MAFF because the wife is now driving the car after the clutch went on her Volvo and she hasn't reported any cutting out yet!
As for the Alarm issue, the horn in the boot is connected, but is still not working. Tried the test using the Bonnet switch ( eight times in 10 secs ) and instead of the horn operating I got the car beeping at me four times, any suggestions.
Sorry its been taking a while to get back to you but with the wife having the car and the absolutly terrible weather here in Devon, I'm not getting a lot of chances to look at it!
