ford mondeo glow plug wire getting hot - Ford Forums

Hi
I have a ford mondeo 1.8TD S reg The wire which connects to the glow pugs is getting really hot and has melted a little of the sleving at the end of the wire.
I dont if this is a problem or not can anyone help. Thanks

I'd think one of the plugs is possibly faulty, you need them checking by someone competent.

sorry for the late reply i have just changed the glows, but the wire is still getting hot. Anyone got another idea

just to let you konw, i have fixed the problem and it was the main wire leading to the glow plugs. I replaced the connector and it starts first time every time and the wire is not hot anymore. Such a simple thing as a bad connection. thanks dave
