Fuelig up with big problem

Hi, I have Contour for 10 years and this problem
comes up every 3-4 months for 3-5 days.
So starting fueling up pump gun stops after 1 liter
like something plugging and after that I'm adding fuel very very slow holding
gun right by the gas tank pipe entrance to watch gas
spilling.
Fueling 10-15 liters takes me 10 or more min.!!!
After 3-4-5 days this something gone and I'm fueling as before
with full pressure for 3-4 or even 6-7 months
Thanks

Re: Fuelig up with big problem

Has it done that for the full ten years you've had it? Did you buy it new?

Welcome to the forums.

Something must have gotten in the fill pipe. I'd pull the pipe out when it's down below ¾. See if you can find something in there.

I'll try to check the pipe but I don't understand how it's possible something to get in(I know that gas station pumps have filters) and if something in there
why its happened ones in a while

Re: Fuelig up with big problem

It's possible someone tried to siphon some fuel ansd damaged something that flops over now and then.
