Heat Blower Speed stays on low all the time...

Getting out of work while on the road i realized the fan speed was still at low regardless the switch position..

what could be the problem?
am a do-it-yourselfer so with a couple of intructions and locations i will feed you back with how things are going.

Thanks in advance on any light on this issue..

Not sure about Contours (I'm in the UK) but the Mondeo does the same thing, this is normal and can be switched off altogether by putting the blower direction control on the zero (black dot) position.

This is a common contour problem and I believe ford even issued a TSB for it. You most likely will need a need blower moter switch and connector. The problem they had with them is the switches over heated and would melt the connector body.

My 99 Mondeo Si is the opposite, the fan only works on the highest setting.
I have had 'something' replaced twice at £40 a time so am living with it at the moment.
If anyone can help....
Please
Thanks
