Help with changing cam belt on telstar 2l V6 '94 - Ford Forums

Hi Guys,

New to this forum, so tks for the assistance!!
I am wanting to change the cam belt on my ford 1994 Telstar V6 2l Automatic and am needing AS MUCH advice as you can give me please!!

the cam belt change for any V6 is difficult

does your library have a repair manual or can you buy one

do a web search as "car repair manuals"
such as haynes.com they may have a repair manual for your car

(the engine has to be at TDC both cams have to be marked if you move the cams you could easily be out one tooth and the car wont start)

hey artyfact, cambelt changes on the v6 engine are very tricky, i am a mechanic and have done a fair few of these. it may seem like a good idea to save money etc, but to be honest you would be much better off taking it to a proper mechanic mate.
