Lossing oil pressure

Rebuilt motor. Starts right up and idles smooth. Problem is after about 1 minute, the oil pressure idiot warning light starts to flicker and then comes on steady. I shut the engine down immediately. Happens everytime I start it. Good thing I smeared the bearings and journals with a lot of moly lube. What would cause a sudden drop in pressure like that everytime it starts? No blockages, new filter and full with oil...............

Have you put an oil pressure gauge on it to make sure that its not a sender fault.

Re: Lossing oil pressure

It is a Zetech engine. I put in a new sensor at rebuild. Are they that apt to fail new?
