hi everybody,
My mondeo runs fine until i accelerate.It lacks power and is very jumpy.It also keeps misfiring on plug 1 and 4.
The car eventually cuts out.
now the strange thing is when i open the fuel cap you can hear air rushing out of the tank,and the car starts straight away,and the whole cycle starts again.
I have replaced plugs,coil pack and leads

I Would Start Looking At The Fuel System. If You Have A Plugged Fuel Filter It Could Run Fine At Idle But Once You Need More Fuel It Is Not Letting Threw. Also If The Fuel Filter Is Not Letting The Fuel Threw Then It Could Be Back Flushing To The Tank And Building Pressure In Tank So When You Open Gas Cap Pressure Comes Out.
