casrms1450 Registered User Join Date: Mar 2002 Location: Brizvegas Age: 62 Posts: 625	Mondeo 2.0 Zetec Life ? What milegae can be expected out of a 2.0l Zetec engine.? Looking at a 97 Mondeo with 103.000kms on the clock ? The car has been regularly serviced. Is 200.000kms expecting too much ? Then ,what is a rebulid cost ? any gremlins with the engine manual gear box ? Thanks

Registered User Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: UK Posts: 688	103 k's on a 97'er is average mileage, if regular and quality servicing to Ford schedules is continued 200 k's and beyond should be no problem at all. We see very few engine or gearbox failures on Mondeo, early 3rd gear synchro problems have been well ironed out by now.
