Mondeo 2.5 v6 computer reset - Ford Forums

I have a fault that puts the O/D OFF light on when I took it to Ford the where able to reset it with there diagnostic computer, which cures the problem for a while.
Has anyone any idea how to reset the computer without going to ford garage.

1. switch the alarm OFF (via key)
2. disconnect the MINUS cable on the battery;
3. leave the battery disconnected for approx 30 minutes;
4. connect the battery and start the engine;
5. when temperature reaches operating level press the gas pedal and keep the engine running at 1200RPM for approx 60 sec;
6. take a drive for about 40-45km changing the driving style as much as possible

You should be OK with this method.
