Mondeo Crankshaft Sensor

Hi all,

Have an ongoing problem with my Mk2 2.0Si Mondeo. The car sometimes will not start for 10 - 15 mins afer it has been running fine. nThis problem is getting more and more frequent. HAve had it checked by a local Garage on a Diagnostic Machine ( Not a Ford garage though ). Flags up the crankshaft Sensor every ime this happens, just to clarify each time the code is cleared during diagnostic. The car has had about 5 CRankshaft sensors inthe last 18 months, the last one being a Ford one at an extremely high cost compared to non Ford parts. I hoped this would solve it. But alas no, it is still there.

Any ideas what could be affecting the sensor, it doesn't do it all the time so I am struggling to come to terms with it being the sensor, why would it do it intermittently????

Any suggestions appreciated
