Hi,
I have a mk2 1999 T reg mondeo ghia hatchback and would like to upgrade the interior and door cards to leather. Would a mk1 interior fit?
Also my heated front screen wont work, the light does not come on when the switch is pressed, i have replaced the switch twice already and checked fuses 5 and 6 which are ok. any ideas
As it's essentially a MK1 facelift, the interior should fit.
Fuses needing checking are 11 13 15 24 25 & 27, relay 2nd (large type) down from top, all located in the fusebox by the battery. Swap the relay for one at the bottom of the fuseboard if suspected. If all ok, suspect the GEM module.
Hi the fuses in the engine compartment only go to 18, ive had a look in the box behind glove box but all seem fine. Im not sure which relays to check as there are 11 in the engine bay fuse box and 2nd down from top could mean more than one.
I have sorted a set of mk1 seats. I have the front ones in but the rear seats have been removed from the fixings and the mk2 dont match up. Sure it wont be hard to get them from a scrappers.
I had a slight problem with the airbag warning light with the mk1 seats fitted. It was flashing all time, worked out it was the seatbelt pre-tensioner sensors. Sadly these wont transfer from mk2 seats onto mk1. I just tie wrapped them under seats...lol
Yes mate ive been pretty careful with them so far. im wrapping them up to get it through MOT and im gonna get a set of MK2 leather seats after. The mk1 dont really fit the mk2, fed up of changing part after part.
went to get the rear seat fixings today, they would fit except the seat release to fold them down is completely different setup and would not work with mk2.
like i say ive given up on them..shame cos the mk1 seats are much better looking than the mk2.
