I want to remove the factory headunit from the dash of my 1998 mystique and replace it with my own newer unit. Any ideas for the easiest way to perform this simple yet frustrating task? Thanks

Actually you don't need to remove the trim piece, you can spend $6.00 on the Ford DIN tools from Pepboys or Autozone and just remove the headunit itself...

I've recently bought a mondeo 1997 & I want to put in my pioeer cd player & 4 speakers to replace the original ford stuff.Do I need a special tool?How do I remove the door-skins to replace the speakers?Anyone with any ideas or previous know-how?

Did you click on the master sheet link one post above yours?
I'm sure there isn't that much of a difference between the monys and Contours.
