New 2L Mondeo auto gutless?

I don't know who it was but some on this site said that the new 2L auto Mondeo's are gutless.

Well a family friend hired one for the weekend end and said that it was bloody terrible - too underpowered and the auto box made it even worse, other than that he said it was quite a good car.

Mabey Ford should chuck in the 2L motor from the new Mazda6 - it has something around 122Kw which is a little bit more than 105Kw.

Yeah that was me J-type. I got this from a car hire as well. Heres the thread

Ford should really address these sorts of things as a number of people that have hired these have requested "No more Mondeo's for me when renting"

This shouts out theres a problem.

I'm not sure wether the model this guy drove was a base or a Zetec but he took it to Auckland from Palmerston North and back so he would of had a lot of time to get to grips with all the car's pro's and con's.

However I've heard that Ford NZ are bringing a 5-speed auto but from what I've read it's only really compatable with the V6 (ST).
