The previous owner should have given you the tag with the number.
Otherwise, just drop by a ford dealer and they will give you the code (look it up in their computer). They wont give it over the phone in case the car's been stolen, so they'll insist you bring the car to a dealership. It takes them about 2 sec to look it up.
