Shaking problem with 1995 Ford Mondeo
Hi I was wondering if anyone can give me help on a 1995 Ford Mondeo stationwagon (I think it is a 2.0L). I bought it as a Japenese import new to NZ in May 2003 with just under 60,000 on the clock. It has started shaking badly when either stopped in traffic or at lights and sometimes does it also at very low speeds like crawling along in traffic jams. Sometimes it sort of is missing at higher speeds also and can be slow on the take off from lights and stop signs. Also in traffic the temperature gauge creeps up so I put the aircon on high heat which lowers the gauge but also makes the shaking worse. My mechanic has tried changing the spark plugs, changing the spark leads and now thinks it may be either the air filter or airflow meter (this has already been changed less than 6 months after I bought the car). Does anyone have any other suggestions?
