TX5 Boy

Hi guys
i recently bought a 91 TX5 and i was wondering what i could do to get a little more grunt out of the 2.2. Atm its got something like 84 kw and have read i can increase that to about 92 kw if i install a chip but thats like $600 or something. What would be the best value for money upgrade be? (eg: exhaust, chip,intake etc)

Sorry dude, not many people read this section of the forums. Exhaust and extractors usually gives a reasonable increase. Other than that I don't know what to go for. You may be able to make you own CAI and then go for the chip. Up to you how much money you want to spend and how much performance you want. It's SOHC so perhaps a cam at some stage, but considering you think $600 is expensive, I'm not sure a cam is on the cards.

thanks for finally a reply. i was thinking about extracters and exhaust and was told it should give around 10% increase, so thats bout 8-9 kw. idont $600 is expensive i just thought there may be a better value for money mod that i could do first. ie somthing with a better $ per kw.
