Exploring the FPV's New Beast The Typhoon

Well i recon its about time we started to get into FOrds latest and give you all an insight to whats the G O with them.

A very good customer of mine had given me his PAJ(Pride and Joy) to break down this awesome car for you.

Firstly its not hard to see that the injectors are a limiting factor on these cars, so while i have been able to put a 13 pound program in this car i have to also tapper it down to 9 pounds once it hits 5000 rpm.

This perticular street weapon has done 11000 kms and is apart from the edit STOCK AS A ROCK. No mods whats so ever, not even an air filter.

What im going to treat you guys to is seeing what each step will do to your toys.

The initail Dyno graph i have for you is the base power and then while it was on the dyno i added my 13 pound program i developed with the help of Hypnodocs beasty. Some minor changes to cater for the fact ricks has zorst ect and we where off.

It made a nice 219 RWKW stock, then flashed it up and straight to 260. Notice the lovely torque curve?

Next dyno sheet will have air box and injectors on it followed soon after with the exhaust, im in the proccess of flow testing cats to make sure we use the best for the job.

Cheers guys

Simon

Great Result Simon.

I think anybody would be really happy with a 40 kw gain from the
edit.

Simon,

that's a great result and you have me very interested. I own no 44 and am fortunate enough to also live in Perth. The only question I have is what happened to the claimed 550 Nm of torque in standard form?

Hey Peter, thats at the Engine buddy, these figures are at the WHeels, so you have drive train losses to take from your figures aswell .

Mate this program transforms the standard car like you wouldnt believe.

Excellent result Simon. It would be interesting to see how quick that F6 would be on the quarter now with only the edit and say an airbox. Talk about value, $63k + say $2k on road for a new F6 with 330+ kws! Just can't wait for the ZF in these things as well.

In saying that, are you suggesting that the Typhoon with the edit would beat your (13.11)? pass? Or is it just the way these things deliver the power on the road?

BTW I recon you are doing a great job!
