Flashing the F6 ?

Simon,
As you’re well aware a couple of us are about a week away from getting our F6 Tornados and as such are crunching the numbers and deciding on who will get to edit them as such.

This brings me to a small problem we have in making a decision on just that.

We have been observing these posts for some time and eagerly awaiting some F6 dyno sheets WITH A/F but sadly none have materialized to date.

Now you continue to inform us on the many F6 Typhoons that you have edited with good results but with no Dyno sheets to support these outcomes. I don’t doubt that you have achieved these results for one minute its just we would like to see what sort of RWKW’s @ what A/F before we decide which way to jump next week.

I’m sure you have done as many as four F6’s with varying options so surely we can see more than one basic sheet please.

Some time back I asked what was the mapping difference between the original Factory F6 flash and the latest factory F6 map but sadly no information forthcoming there either…I gather you have researched the new flash to see how Ford tweaked the F6 to stop the cliff dropoff?

I’m happy with your expertise its just before parting with some cash I would like to see what end results you have achieved to date on the F6 with Dyno sheets.
1) Straight up Edit and nothing else.
2) Edit and 42lb Injectors
3) Edit, Injectors and Exhaust
4) Edit and your recommendations.

These F6’s are landing in WA as we speak and many Tuners are now getting their hands on them and competition will be good for all concerned so now the time has come it’s up to the tuners to convince all of us who should get our cash.

Also Insurance???
Are we covered With Extreme whilst the vehicle is in your control and a failure occurs due to a mishap in the tuning?

There is as many as 6 odd tuners in WA that I know of that are eager as to do these Tornados and one from east who is happy to fly here and do them so who do we choose??????????????????????????????

Re: Flashing the F6 ?

Choose who you believe will do the best job for you. Thats not my choice thats yours. If pointed you to my web site a few times mate, theres a dead stock dyno graph on my site that shows what happenes when editted. As for showing the A/F ratios??? Isnt that a bit of a give away to other tuners to show where i run my cars? Yes obviously the cars are covered by insurance.

Im not into the whole bagging and the likes. Im not going to say USE ME USE ME USE ME. Its your car, Use who you like.

Ive also posted a graph of the power it made. 279 rwkw, stock car with nothing else bar injectors.

I told you that they had changed the boost map in the new reflash for the F6??? how did i not reply to that?

You have my number, if you wish to chat again just call me.

Re: Flashing the F6 ?

No need to get someone in to dyno a car special at all Simon I was asking that you post some of your Past results from the many dyno runs that you have done on the tunes that you have done in the past.

I’ve seen the one on your site but that is only one and doesn’t cover just the edit alone.

I don’t see it as a problem and I was only asking for a show of your past results so as to make my decision simple. From what I read you have the results on the board.

No one said you or anyone had any mishap! insurance was just a common thing and I need it like everyone else with what I do.

If you have taken offence to this then that is a shame as none of it was meant to do such.

If you feel you cannot show what results you have achieved then fine that’s your call, I just thought that as your business is tuning cars you would wish to attract people like me who want the job done and as such encourage us to use you in any way you can and to do this what better way than to show the dyno results?

If I have offended you by posting this and you have taken offence to it then I’ll not post on it any further and reduce my list of tuner options.

We are all aware that Ford has changed the map that is not the issue.

My question was:
What tables did Ford change in the map to achieve the results that they did?

I asked this question knowing that you have done F6’s with the old map and with the new map and as such I would imagine you would have been very keen to see what in fact they changed in the tables….Seeing as this is what you do for a living?

I was expecting an answer along the lines of:
Not much mate they made a few small changes here and there but basically just hold the boost on longer before cutting it back… (That is probably a long way off) but that was the simple sort of answer I was looking for.
